Frances Adkins, 93, of Wilkinson, passed away on July 30, 2026.
Born on January 9, 1933, in Hancock County, Indiana, Frances was the daughter of Floyd and Kathleen (Stoner) Vaughn. In her early career, she worked for the Finance Center Credit Union and later served as a loan officer with Farm Bureau.
Frances was an active and devoted member of Willow Branch United Methodist Church and the former Fortville United Methodist Church, as well as the Country Harmony Home Ec Club. She was a huge supporter of the Adkins Family Columbia sheep flock. Frances and her beloved husband, Larry, shared a passion for travel and enjoyed exploring destinations around the world together.
She is survived by her daughters, Susan Bodkin (David) and Nancy Davis (James Seifert); grandchildren, Joe Bodkin (Chelsea Gustafson), Emily Wheatley (Alex), and John Davis; great-grandchildren, Brecken and Brighton Gustafson and Edwin and Emmett Wheatley; and her special friend, Judy Cain.
Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Charles "Larry" Adkins, in 2017, and her brother, Max Vaughn.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at Willow Branch United Methodist Church, 6244 N. Thomas Street, Willow Branch, Indiana, with Pastor Tara Varner officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Burial will follow at Gravel Lawn Cemetery.
