Gary Ray Filson

Gary Ray Filson, 65, of Greenfield, passed away on November 19, 2024, in Carmel. He was born on September 7, 1959, in Anderson, to Bruce A. and Cris (Estes) Filson. He was a 1978 graduate of Greenfield Central High School.

Gary worked as a truck driver for many years, driving for various companies including Filson Earthwork. Gary loved working on the farm and being outdoors.

Gary is survived by his parents Bruce A. and Cris (Estes) Filson; siblings David A. (Kimberly) Filson, Mark A. (Kelli) Filson, and Karen R. (Mike) Tatom; numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and beloved extended family members. He is also survived by Brandon Dobbins who was like a son to Gary. He is preceded in death by his brother Carl N. Filson.

Friends may call on Monday, November 25, 2024, at Seals Funeral Home, 122 W. Staat Street, Fortville, from 4:00 to 8:00 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at Eden United Methodist Church, 2122 E. Eden Road, Greenfield, at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Eden Cemetery.
