Georgiana Sue (Clow) Colson

Georgiana Sue Colson, 78, of Fortville passed away Friday, October 8, 2021, in Greenfield.  She was born March 7, 1943, in Indianapolis, IN to George and Ruth (Clen) Clow.  Sue enjoyed quilting, scary movies, soap operas, IU basketball and movies starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.  She had also been a member of the Fortville United Methodist Church where she had been active in the United Methodist Women for many years.

Sue had worked as a nurse’s aide at Hancock Regional Hospital and retired from Community Hospital East.

Sue is survived by husband David Colson, children: Jack (Kay) Colson, Becky (Travis) White, David (Melissa) Colson and Tracy (Garry) Ferrebee; grandchildren: Abigail (Itmamar Megiddo) Colson , Emily (Jose) Martinez, Seth (Emily) Colson, Kris Slaven, Andie Slaven, William (Nicole) Colson, Donavan Colson, Alicia Colson, D.J. Lockhart and Austin Lockhart; great-grandchildren: Cecilia, Charlotte, Ava, Sawyer and Damien; sisters; Patty Hoit, Linda (Lawrence) Petrella and Debbie (Roy) Smith. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters Ruby Queer and Sandy Clow.

A funeral to celebrate Sue’s life will be held on Wednesday, October 13, 2021, at 1:00 pm at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday form 11”00 am until the time of service. Burial will take place at Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville.   Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s’ Association Greater Indiana Chapter 50 E. 91st.
