Gerry Sue Newkirk, 78 of  Shelbyville, formerly of Fortville,  passed away on Tuesday April 2, 2024, surrounded by her family. She was born on April 4, 1945, in Noblesville to the late Harold Johnson and Helen Jean (Smith) Harmon. 

Gerry was a homemaker, who previously owned and operated Flowers and More in Fortville for many years. She was a jack-of-all-trades and had been a member of the Eastern Star.       

Gerry is survived by her daughters, Tammy (Rick Hudnall) Noon, Chrissy (Joe) Wiehe and Kim (Greg) Ball; grandchildren James Brazill, Nicole Tasker, and Derek Noon; siblings Pam Davison and Linda Schlenger.  She was preceded in death by her husband Frank Allen Newkirk II, daughter Debbie Tasker and sister Annie Barton.   

A funeral to celebrate Gerry’s life will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, April 15, 2024, at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 11:00 am until the time of service.  Burial will follow at the Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville.
