Jack F. "Arky" Horton

Jack F. “Arky” Horton, 71, of Fortville, passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at IU Saxony Hospital.  He was born February 7, 1949 in Snowball, Arkansas to Ted & Ina Bethel (Honeycut) Horton. Arky came to Indiana from Arkansas at the age of 16. He formed G & H Drywall with his partner Woody Gibson and operated it for over 30 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, watching westerns & NASCAR. More than anything, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. 

Jack is survived by his wife: Bonnie (Adams) Horton whom he married on August 8, 2005; children: James E. Horton of Fortville, Janet & Jackie Horton of Greenfield; step-children: Jeffrey & Toby Rowland of Indianapolis; grandchildren: Jesse (Jena) Grady, Nicholas (Carly) Horton, Braden Garretson, Quincy Rowland, Heather (Troy) Harper, Shana Stutz & Harlow Rowland; 3 great-grandsons & 2 great-granddaughters; sisters: Jan Gray, Shirlene Reves & Loraine (Ron) Turney, numerous nieces and nephews.  Jack was preceded in death by his parents, brothers T.J. Horton, James Paul Ray Horton & John T. Horton and sisters; Kathy E. McEntire & Isa Lea Hensley.

Friends may call on Sunday, June 28, 2020 from 2 to 5 pm at Seals Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fortville.  A celebration of Jack’s life will be held on Sunday, June 28, 2020 at 5 pm at the funeral home.
