James H. Ferrill

James H. Ferrill, 64, of Fortville, passed away Thursday, December 9, 2021, at his home surrounded by his family.  He was born November 10, 1957, in Tampa, Florida.  He was a millwright and co-owner of Ferrill-Fisher, Inc., He also owned Ridgeview Apartments in Fortville. 

Jim was a member of the Indiana Regional Council of Carpenters and Millwright Local 1003. He enjoyed his life with Paula. They shared many memories such as their children’s sports activities, boating, camping, following NASCAR in their motorhome and their motorcycle.

Jim is survived by daughter, Heather (Jeff) Loy of Fortville; sons: Brandon (Amanda) Ferrill of Lapel, and Shawn (Heidi) Ferrill of Fortville; 10 grandchildren, brothers: Walter R. “Chip” Ferrill of Fortville, Kevin S. Ferrill of Ingalls, Bill R. (Judy) Ferrill of McCordsville; sisters: Patricia A. Harrington of Plant City, FL and Cathy D. (Tim) Waymire of Fortville; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Paula Jo (White) Ferrill in 2019, father Walter R. Ferrill, Sr. in 1997 and mother Dorothy E. (Wilson) Ferrill in 1991.

Friends may call on Tuesday, December 14, 2021, from 4 to 8 pm, at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville. A service celebrating Jim’s life will be held Wednesday, December 15, 2021, beginning at 11:00 a.m., at the funeral home.
