James H. Roberts

James H. Roberts, 87, of Fortville, passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at his home.  He was born on November 27, 1938, in Burlingame, Kansas to Edward J. and Maude Leona (Davidson) Roberts.

Jim was a graduate of Lebo High School and worked in construction operating heavy equipment retiring in 2002.

Jim is survived by children Nanette Roberts, Stacy Jo (Tim) McNeal, and Daughter-In-Law, Jamie (McDonald) Roberts, 6 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife Velta Sue (Richards) Roberts, son Barry Dean Roberts, his parents, listed above, brother Edward Roberts, sisters Jo Ann Cochran, Irene Ortiz, Rose Sill and Dolly Wilson.

A private graveside service to celebrate Jim’s life will be held at the convenience of the family.
