James "Mike" Michael Williams Obituary

James Michael “Mike” Williams, 82, of McCordsville, formerly of New Castle, passed away December 7, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family.  He was born December 26, 1942, in New Castle to Harold Boyd and Margaret Frances (Stamper) Williams.


Mike was a member of First Christian Church and retired from General Motors as a Manufacturing Manager after over 42 years of service. Mike received his Bachelor of Industrial Engineering from General Motors Institute (GMI) and later earned his Master of Science in Administration from Central Michigan University. He was a member of Elks Lodge, the American Foundry Association and the Foundry Education Foundation.


Mike is survived by his children Jeffery Michael (Deann) Williams, Jay Brian (Jennifer) Williams and Julie Lynn (Kurt) Thelen; grandchildren Joshua Michael Williams, Cooper Brian (Caitlin) Williams, and Sophie Elaine Williams, brother Jon (Sue) Williams, as well as several nieces and nephews.


He was preceded in death by his wife, Penelope Lea “Penny” Williams, and his parents who are listed above.


In keeping with Mike’s wishes, a simple cremation will take place.

Services have been entrusted to Rose City Funeral Home, New Castle, IN 47362
