Janet Sue (Martin) Humbles, 93, of Greenfield, passed peacefully at home surrounded by family, February 11, 2026.
Born January 31, 1933, she met her husband of 74 years, Clarence Humbles, at Fortville High School. She is survived by her husband, Clarence Humbles, 94; five children, Phoebe Rodgers, Becky (Dale) Eiler, Tobi Iacono, Paul (Juli) Humbles, Molly (Steven) Cates; 17 grandchildren, Megan, John Robert, Michael, Melissa, Mandy, Zachary, Jesi, Brandon, Andrew, Lisa, Michael, Libby, Elizabeth, Kayla, Evelyn, Victoria, and Cassandra; 27 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by parents, Charles and Glenn (Ridenour) Martin; brother, Charles W. Martin; sister, Beverly Stephens; and granddaughter, Samantha Cates.
Over the years, Janet was a kindergarten teacher, secretary/receptionist, and homemaker. She and Clarence loved traveling, hiking, cooking and spending time with family.
An occasion to celebrate and honor her memory will be held on Friday, June 12, at 1:00 P.M.. at Seals Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fortville, IN, with visitation from 12:00-1:00 P.M. Interment will follow at Gravel Lawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the National Park Foundation is suggested. With love and respect for our natural treasures, Clarence and Janet visited 31 National Parks.
