Janis D. Gutierrez, a woman whose love radiated like sunshine, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 23rd at the age of 75. Born August 7, 1949 to the late William and Betty Milan. She Graduated from Ivy Tech State College and became a well-known Certified IRS Tax Preparer.
She spent her life loving her grandchildren dearly with all of her heart. Janis had a love of Disney, especially Mickey Mouse, and movies and left a lifetime of memories of dancing to Elton John with her beloved grandchildren. She loved Michael Jackson and bragged about getting to see him in concert. Her favorite song was Man In The Mirror. Her hugs and kisses could heal any broken heart. She never knew a stranger and left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her.
Survived by Grandchildren, Tyler Gutierrez, Ashley Metcalfe, Austin Alexander, Hailey Durr, Wyatt Gutierrez, and Matthew and Vanessa Bokern. Janis has 12 great grandchildren. Also survived by siblings, Richard Milan, Dana Ream, Lana Dee, Zina short, Betty Ann Milan, BJ Bogard, and Marilyn Ball; as well as 1 daughter and 1 son. Preceded in death by Brothers and sisters, Sherry Dick, Sandra Johnson, Lawrence Milan II.
