Jeffrey W. Sietsma

Jeffrey W. Sietsma, 67, of Fortville passed away Tuesday April 6, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born April 25, 1953 in South Bend, IN to the late Charles William and Oma Albertine (Brenton) Sietsma.

Jeff was a 1971 graduate of Lawrence Central High School and attended Vincennes University.  He was retired from Indiana Power & Light, and from Citizens Energy Group in 2020 after over 30 years of service. He was a member of the Fortville Christian Church. In his spare time, Jeff enjoyed boating, flying, power para gliding, riding motorcycles, camping and spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Jeff is survived by his wife of over 48 years Beckey (Stultz) Sietsma, children, Carrie Lynn (Anthony Badorek) Sietsma of Albion, IN, Cory Russell Sietsma of Fortville, Casi Ann (Kirby) Durham of Noblesville, Dr. Christine Megan (Ben) Nix of Noblesville, IN; grandchildren, Kaedon, Kaylin, Beckett, and Evelyn; siblings, David (Margaret) Sietsma and Holly Postlewaite; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Chad Michael Sietsma and his sister Susan McDowell.

A funeral service to celebrate Jeff’s life will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville. Friends may call from 11:00 am until the time of the service. Burial will follow at Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Fortville Christian Church, 9450 N. 200 West, Fortville, IN 46040.
