Jerry L. Ward

Jerry L. “Yank” Ward, 85, of Anderson, passed away Saturday, December 24, 2022, at his home surrounded by his family.  He was born May 16, 1937, in Indianapolis to Frances and Lois (Jackson) Ward.  Yank enjoyed bowling, golfing and fishing.  He retired as the President of Miller Huggins in Anderson.

Jerry is survived by his wife Barbara “Pooch” Ward, children: Terry (Lana) Ward, Debra (David) Haskett and David (Tracy) Ward; grandchildren: Brianne, Danielle, Carissa, Colt, Karsyn, Travis, Ciara, Shannon, Brittany, Bryson and 8 great-grandchildren as well as sisters Drusilla Matula and Rexann Wilson. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A service to celebrate Jerry’s life will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2022, at 2:00 pm at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville.  Friends may call on Thursday at the funeral home from 12:00 pm until the time of service. Burial will take place at Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Anderson Animal Protection League 613 Dewey Street Anderson, IN 46016.
