Jimmie “Jim” L. Robling, 79, of Indianapolis, passed away on January 1, 2024, in Indianapolis after a brief illness. He was born on January 31, 1944, in Oakland City, Indiana to Gettis and Thelma “Sally” (Houchins) Robling.
Jim graduated from Winslow High School and received a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Evansville. He worked as an Engineer for Naval Air Warfare Center and Raytheon. He enjoyed both playing and watching golf, tennis, and basketball, and was an avid car enthusiast.
Jim is survived by his wife of 54 years Kristine “Kristi” (Sigler) Robling, whom he married on February 23, 1969. He is also survived by his children Brad (Kristen) Robling and Mischa (Jeff) Payne; grandchildren Nick, Sophia, Jacqueline, and Luke Robling; and Taylor, Evan, and Ashlyn Payne; as well as his beloved dog, Millie. He is preceded in death by his parents Gettis and Thelma Robling.
Jim will be laid to rest at Gravel Lawn Cemetery in Fortville, Indiana. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Seals Funeral Home.
