Jonathan Dean Kunkle, 71, of Cloverdale, passed away on November 16, 2022. He was born April 8, 1951 in Noblesville to Harold and Lovina Louise (Kiger) Kunkle. He graduated from Hamilton Southeastern High School in Fishers in 1969. During his life, he worked as a carpenter and retired from Butler University in 2018. He was an avid fisherman, outdoorsman and pool player.
Jon is survived by four children: Amie (Michael) Cox of Carmel, April Walden of Westfield, Zachary Kunkle (Renee Cook) of Fortville, and Sarah Kunkle (Jake Burns) of Fortville; siblings: Casey (Jim) Ottinger of Noblesville; Farol Kunkle of Hobbs; Joseph (Tonya) Kunkle of Florida; Michael (Diana) Kunkle of Silex, Missouri; Lu-anne (Ruston) Gray of Kokomo and Stephanie Wood of Noblesville. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
At this time, the family will have a private celebration of life for Jon but a future celebration with friends is currently being planned.
