Obituary

Kimberly Sue Ann Perkins, 66, of Indianapolis, passed away Friday, April 28, 2023, in Carmel. She was born on January 5, 1957, in Indianapolis to Cecil and Mary Lou Abbott. She was a 1975 graduate of Arlington High School. Kim worked in HR for 22 years for Patriot Engineering until her retirement in 2018.

Kim loved reading and gardening. She was a big Colts fan as well as a fan of Notre Dame. She loved her Labrador Retriever Lucy.

Kim is survived by her daughter Kaitlin (Mark) Clayton; granddaughters Evie and Gwen Clayton; siblings Cecilia Foley, Val (David) Bennett, Chris (Chuck) Boerner, Kelly (Tim) Hurley, and Kathy Cox; sister-in-law Pattie Abbott; as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother Bill Abbott; and her beloved dog Lucy.

An open house in Kim’s honor will be held on Friday, May 12, 2023, beginning at 3:00 pm at Chris and Chuck Boerner’s home, 9579 Fortville Pike, Fortville, IN 46040. Memorial Donations in Kim’s memory may be made to Love of Labs at lolin.org.
