Larry Fields Obituary

Larry W. Fields I, 84, of Fortville, passed away on November 17, 2022, at his residence. He was born on March 21, 1938, in Indianapolis to Charles and Dorothy (McPherson) Fields.

Larry was a 1956 graduate of Howe High School. He worked for Indianapolis Power and Light for nearly 40 years, retiring in 1995 as a Substation Maintenance Supervisor. Larry was a union member of IBEW, an avid sports fan, loved the casino and enjoyed playing cards.

Larry is survived by his wife Elise (Brock) Fields whom he married May 13, 1978. He is also survived by children Larry W. Fields II, Erin Singer, and Melissa (Chris) Larkey; grandchildren Brendon (Dawn) and Logan (Mariah) Fields and Nate, Ava, and Nylah Larkey; great-grandchild Brixton and another on the way; and his sisters Velma Stone and Susie (Johnny) Walters. He was preceded in death by his parents and daughter Traci Fields.

At Larry’s request a cremation will take place. There are no public services scheduled at this time. Please consider donating to your local Humane Society in Larry’s honor.
