Linda G. Wilson, 81, of Fortville, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2026, in the comfort of her home. Born on March 28, 1944, she was the cherished daughter of Donald and Geneva (Trout) Bolander.
A lifelong resident of Fortville, Linda’s roots in her community ran deep. She loved Fortville and Hancock County and the people who shaped her life there. Her passion for education and her belief in the potential of every child guided her 32 years of service within the Mt. Vernon Community School Corporation. Throughout her career—as a teacher, counselor, and assistant principal—she touched countless lives with her compassion, guidance, and steady presence.
Beyond her work, Linda found joy and strength in her faith. She was a devoted member of Cyntheanne Christian Church, where she treasured time spent in Bible study and fellowship.
Linda is survived by her son, Jeff Wilson (Julie), and her grandchildren, Jaclyn Carrao (Caleb) and Joseph Wilson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Allan Wilson on October 1, 2017, and her parents.
Visitation will be on Sunday, March 15, 2026, from 4-8 P.M. at Seals Funeral Home, 122 W. Staat Street, Fortville, IN. Funeral services will be on Monday, March 16, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home with Pastor Brent Emerick officiating. Visitation will also be from 10:00-11:00 A.M. on Monday.
Entombment will be in Gravel Lawn Cemetery.
