Lloyd E. Johnson, 79, of Ingalls, passed away Monday, October 11, 2021, at his home. He was born November 14, 1941, in Brookville, Indiana to Jesse and Elizabeth J. (Kinder) Johnson. Lloyd was a U.S. Army veteran having served in the Korean War. He was a member of the Brookville Christian Church and the Pendleton American Legion Post 117. Lloyd enjoyed tinkering in his shop, playing lotto scratchers and watching the Indianapolis Colts.
Lloyd was a self-employed truck driver for over 50 years. He owned Johnson & Sons Trucking and leased the trucks to R.I.S.K. International.
Lloyd is survived by his wife Jennie (Roy) Johnson, whom he married January 1, 1975; children: Richard (Kelly) Johnson, Matt (Patsy) Johnson, and Connie Stumbo; stepchildren: Cindy (Kenny) Jackson, Julie Turner, Bill (Marcia) Hurst and Rick (Lisa) Hurst; 20 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings Walter Johnson, Clyde Johnson, Dovie Rutledge, Lora Loth, Sue Horn and Wilma Dunham.
A funeral to celebrate Lloyd’s life will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, October 14, 2021, at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville. Friends may call on Thursday at the funeral home from 12;00 pm until the time of service. Burial will take place at Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville.
