Lu Ann (Burdine) Bolander

Lu Ann Bolander, 68, of McCordsville passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Sunday October 12, 2025.  Lu Ann was born on October 17, 1956, in Indianapolis to the late James Denton Burdine and Emma Ellen (Kirgan) Burdine. 

Lu Ann was a 1975 graduate of Mt. Vernon High School and attended IUPUI in Indianapolis. She retired as a supervisor from JC Penney after 25 years and was a member of Outlook Chrisitan Church.

Lu Ann is survived by her husband of 50 years, Jeff, whom she married on June 7, 1975; daughter Shanna (Doug) Mayfield, and son, Jeffrey (Janice) Bolander, Jr.; grandchildren Braden, Colton, Preston, Easton, Jackson, and Emma; siblings James D. (Jennie) Burdine, Jr., Timothy L. Burdine, Otis D. (Kay) Burdine, and Debra L. (Kerry) Esters; she is also survived by several nieces and nephews. 

A funeral to celebrate Lu Ann’s life will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, October 20, 2025, at Seals Funeral Home 122 W. Staat Street Fortville, IN 46040. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 am until the time of service.
