Madeline I. (Holbok) Jones

Madeline I. Jones, 96, of Pendleton, passed away Sunday, May 21, 2023, in Anderson. She was born February 25, 1927, in Crescent, Ohio to Frank and Susan (Gersey) Holbok. Madeline graduated from Martins Ferry High School in Ohio and later graduated from airplane mechanics’ school.  She worked for Indiana Central (now University of Indianapolis), the Girl Scouts office and lastly RCA when she retired in the mid-1980's. She was a member of Cyntheanne Christian Church.

Madeline is survived by husband William S. Jones, whom she married October 23, 1946, daughter: Cynthia L. Fox of Pendleton; grandchildren Scott (Trisha) Jones, Clint (Yvette) Jones, Shane (Brandy) Fox, Jenny (Cody Taylor) Jones and Todd (Robin Field) Fox and 11 great-grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sons: Terry L. Jones and Bruce Jones, brother Frank Holbok, sisters Margaret Holbok and Rose Kozma.

A funeral to celebrate Madeline’s life will be held on Friday, May 26, 2023, at 5:00 pm at Cyntheanne Christian Church 13151 Cyntheanne Road Fishers, IN 46037. Friends may call on Friday from 3:00 pm until the time of service. Burial of Madeline’s cremated remains will take place at Gravel Lawn Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
