Margie J. Owens

Margie J. Owens, 84, of Noblesville, passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born on June 10, 1942, in Tennessee to Oliver and Ethel (Perkinson) Bayne.

Margie graduated from Arsenal Tech High School in 1961 and was employed by Mt. Vernon Community School Corporation for 20 plus years working as a teachers aid and a head cook in the cafeteria. After working for the school corporation, she worked at Marsh Supermarket. She was a member of many local churches and was very active in the church. She played piano and the organ, and was a member of the church choir, Sunday School Superintendent, Sunday School teacher, and enjoyed traveling with her husband and spending time with her family.

Margie is survived by her husband of 64 years, Jerry L. Owens, whom she married on November 25, 1961, children Jeffrey L. (Pamela) Owens and Lynn (Louis) Juarez, grandchildren Jennifer (Brandon) Meyer, Jason (Emily) Owens, Justin (Gretchen) Owens, Jeffrey Owens, and Jacob Owens.

She was preceded in death by her father and mother Oliver and Ethel Bayne, brother Jack Bayne, sister Maryann Maher, son Mark S. Owens, and great grandson Asher Owens.

A funeral to celebrate Margie’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Seals Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 122 W. Staat Street, Fortville, IN 46040, with Rev. Frank Bosler officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service. Burial will be at Gravel Lawn Cemetery in Fortville.
