Mark A. Filson, 65, of Greenfield, passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2026 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on December 6, 1960 in Indianapolis to Bruce A. and Cris (Estes) Filson.
Mark graduated from Greenfield-Central High School in 1979 and was a truck driver who drove for Wal-Mart for nearly 20 years. Prior to Wal-Mart, Mark drove for Perlman-Rocque for 20 years. He was a member of Eden United Methodist Church, played piano, and enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family.
Mark is survived by his wife of 40 years, Kelli (Smith) Filson, whom he married on May 10, 1986, children Ashley Filson and Andrew Filson, mother Cris (Estes) Filson, brother David (Kim) Filson, sister Karen (Mike) Tatom, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father Bruce A. Filson and brothers Carl N. and Gary R. Filson.
A funeral to celebrate Mark’s life will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at Seals Funeral Home 122 W. Staat Street Fortville, IN 46040. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service.
Memorial contributions in Mark’s memory may be made to Greenfield/Hancock County Animal Management 740 S. Franklin Street Greenfield, IN 46140.
