Marsha Eidenier Howell passed away peacefully on February 20, 2022 after a courageous battle with breast cancer, She was 70 years of age.
Born April 17, 1951, to Nancy and Delbert Eidenier, of Pioneer, Ohio Marsha attended North Central Schools and graduated from Pike-Delta-York High School. She met and later married her lifelong love, Terry Howell and they started their family in Delta, Ohio and later relocated to Findlay, Ohio where she resided until a job transfer took them to Lansing, Michigan where she and Terry resided for more than 20 years. It was during that time that she developed her passion for the Michigan State Spartans. Those sitting near her nicknamed her “coach” since she was usually directing the team strategy from afar.
Marsha moved to Indianapolis, IN in early 2000 where she later retired. She not only took advantage of the sports, culture and cuisine that the city offered, but she also spent as much time as she could with her lovebug and only grandchild, Kendal. There was always an adventure in store for these two, whether it was in the kitchen, digging in the dirt or telling stories while they both shared Grammy's chair.
Marsha graduated from Bowling Green State University with a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology. She enjoyed a career spanning almost 5 decades which included stints at Pike-Delta-York Schools, Findlay Hospital, Bowling Green State University, Sparrow Hospital, Michigan State University, Central Michigan University, Ball Memorial Hospital, St. Francis Hospital and IU Hospital in Bloomington. She wrapped-up her career traveling the country as a consultant helping hospitals improve their inpatient rehab departments.
Marsha was full of energy and drive, and really enjoyed life. There was no challenge she wouldn’t take on. She loved her family, shopping, gardening, cooking, and the beach. She and Terry traveled extensively, and filled many of the items on her bucket list, including hot-air ballooning, and zip lining. Her father once observed that he’d never seen her when her hair wasn’t flying straight out behind her.
So many things will remind us of her spirit and all things fun - monster cookies, Dilly Bars, shoe shopping, manicures, sunbathing, good (but not too expensive) red wine, but most of all her fierce love for her family and her vast network of friends that grew through all the years.
Marsha is survived by her husband of 51 years, Terry Howell, daughter Sara Fleury, of Indianapolis, son Nic (Karl Barr) Howell, of Grosse Pointe Park, MI, granddaughter and the light of her life, Kendal Fleury, sister Denise (Jim) Mollenkopf, of Toledo, OH, brothers Jim (Christine) Eidenier of Las Vegas, Aaron (Sue) Eidenier, of Toledo, Don (Kathleen) Woodhouse, of Austin, TX., brother and sister-in-law Mike and Vicky Howell of Goshen, IN, many nieces and nephews, special sister-cousin, Phyllis Klingler, and grandpuppy Noelle.
In her retirement Marsha made so many wonderful friends with some of her brightest moments coming from her time spent at the S.O.U.L. Kitchen making and serving meals for those in need. We ask that in lieu of flowers all donations be sent to:

A special thank you to Story Cottage who helped care for Marsha in her final weeks and who will continue to take exceptional care of Terry as he continues to decline from Lewy-Body Dementia.
There will be no formal services for Marsha at this time. We invite everyone to grab a glass of red wine, a monster cookie, a Dilly bar or whatever else brings you joy along with all your friends and family, tell stories and laugh loud and strong to celebrate Marsha - the woman we all knew with the incredible spirit.
