Mary Catherine “Cathy” (Turner) Edington passed away Sunday January 1, 2023, in Greenfield, IN. She was born September 26, 1946, in Jamestown, TN.

Cathy was a graduate of Tri Central High School in Shelby County.  She retired in 2001 having worked in the medical supply industry where she ran the shipping department.  She was a member of the Ingalls Church of God. She had a big heart and enjoyed yard work and gardening, her pets, and animals, but especially loved to do things for her grandchildren. 

Cathy is survived by her sons John Henson and Conor Edington; grandchildren, Johnna, Josh, Luke, and Emily Henson; 7 great-grandchildren and a brother, Kenneth Turner.

She was preceded in death by her husband John Michael Edington, whom she married on April 10, 1978; her parents Charlie Paris and Reba (Sewell) Turner; sisters, Betty Robinson, and Burnice Gammons; and brothers, Larry Wayne Turner, and Bobby Turner. 

A service to celebrate Cathy’s life will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2023, at 1:00 pm at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville, with Pastor Jack Stout of the Greenfield Church of God officiating.  Friends may call on Thursday at the funeral home from 11:00 am until the time of service. Burial will take place at Menden Cemetery, Pendleton, IN.
