MaryEllen (Kelty) Granahan

MaryEllen Granahan, age 64, of Fishers, IN passed away in her home on July 23, 2022. She was born March 28, 1958, in Ft. Wayne, IN to Edward and Loretta (Putnam) Kelty. MaryEllen was a woman full of kindness and always offering help to those around her. She was known for being a phenomenal cook, a skill which she passed down to her daughter, Abbie. She was also a lover of cross-stitch and sitting at her computer for hours playing adventure mystery search & find games while eating handfuls of peanut M&Ms, a trait which she passed down to her daughter, Katie. 

MaryEllen is survived by her husband Dan Granahan, whom she married on October 16, 1982, daughters: Katie (Aaron) Crandall of Traverse City, MI and Abbie Granahan of Fishers, siblings: Marvene (Robert) Kelty, Louise (Steven) Hartman, Joseph (Ellen) Kelty, Julie (Ron) Weaver, Jimmy (Linda) Kelty, Dr. Richard (Sandra) Kelty, Laura (Edward) Scherschel, Daniel Kelty, John Kelty David Kelty, Dr. Gerald (Jaime) Kelty, Stephen Kelty. She was preceded in death by her parents and oldest brother Robert Kelty.

In keeping with her wishes, a simple cremation has taken place, but family and friends may pay their respects on Wednesday, August 3, 2022, from 4 to 8 pm at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society 5635 W 96th St Suite 100, Indianapolis, IN 46278
