Mary Jane (Campbell) Richards

Mary Jane Richards, 82, of Ingalls, passed away at her home on Tuesday, June 9, 2020.  She was born April 4, 1938 in Indianapolis to the late Harry and Mary (Aaron) Campbell.  She had previously worked for RCA Corporation, but was a homemaker whose passion and legacy were raising her seven children. Mary Jane enjoyed camping, fishing, sports and spending time with her family. 

Mary Jane is survived by children: Carol (Mark) Thacker of Fortville, Jerry (Linda) Richards of Ingalls, Janet (Jeff) Collins of Fortville, Terry (Mina) Richards of Newport News, VA, and Krista Best of Crescent Springs, KY; grandchildren: Tara (Marcus) Magnussen, Cameron Thacker (Ally Anderson), Dale (Erica) Richards, Katsumi (Deidra) Richards, Alyssa (J.D.) Hill, Jason (Kourtney) Collins, Lee Richards, Jamie Richards, Riley Best and Davis Best; great grandchildren: Harper and Rowan Magnussen, George, Lillian and Hadley Hill and Caroline Collins; brother,  Robert (Louise) Campbell of Indianapolis and sister-in-law Shirley Thomas of Indianapolis.  She was preceded in death by husband Dale E. Richards, son Michael Davis, son Ricky Davis, her parents and siblings John Campbell, Harry “Izzy” Campbell and Anna“Cook” Brown.

A Celebration of Mary Jane’s life will be held at 12:30 pm on Saturday, June 13, 2020 at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:30 am until the time of service.  Burial will take place at Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association Attn: Memorial Tribute Processing Center 3816 Paysphere Circle Chicago, IL 60674.
