Michael "Mick" Alford

Michael “Mick” Alford, 82, of Fortville, passed away Thursday, November 26, 2020 at his home.  He was born July 11, 1938 in Anderson, IN to the late Robert B. and Faye E. (Lancaster) Alford. 

Mick was a graduate of Fortville High School.  He owned and operated Alford’s Restaurant and Lounge for several years.  He owned Alford’s Barber Shop for 26 years.  Mick had also served as a member of the Fortville Volunteer Fire Department. Mick enjoyed being with his precious family.

Mick is survived by the love of his life for over 38 years: Margaret Seiler, children: Kathy (Roland ) Ewing, David (Sheila) Alford, Kristi (Danny) Mathews, Tony Seiler, Melissa (Andrew) Matthews, and Sandra Wethington; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings: Jack (Pam ) Alford, Jeff (Marsha) Alford, sisters-in-law Karen Alford and Margie Manship and brother-in-law Jon Wilson as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Alford, daughter Renee Mitchell parents listed above; siblings: Bill Alford, Jill Wilson, niece Brenda Alford and brother-in-law Alan Manship

A graveside service to celebrate Mick’s life will be Thursday December 10, 2020 at 11:00 am at Gravel Lawn Cemetery. Online condolences may be shared at www.sealsfuneralhome.com.
