Norman “Bruce” Scott, 86, of McCordsville, passed away on February 17, 2025. He was born on January 13, 1939, in McCordsville to Claude and Martha (Vail) Scott.
Bruce was a graduate of Mt. Comfort High School and then went on to serve in the United States Army. He was the plant manager for E&B Paving until his retirement in 2001. Bruce was also a farmer. He was a member of McCordsville United Methodist Church. Bruce served on the Gravel Lawn Cemetery Board for 11 years. He enjoyed hunting, traveling, playing scratch-off lottery tickets and was a long-time Mt. Vernon sports fan.
Bruce is survived by his wife Susie (Scott) Scott whom he married on April 20, 2013. He is also survived by his children Robin (Robbie) Dukes, Debra (John) Houts, Lori (Sean) Hodge, Shelly (Vic) Coleman, and Norman Bruce Scott Jr.; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; bonus children Glen (Sarah) Vandermark and Lynne (Tim) Spaulding; 4 bonus grandchildren; 4 bonus great-grandchildren; and his siblings Dennis (Jo) Scott, and Wayne (Lisa) Scott; sister-in-law Carolyn Scott; and many extended family members. He is preceded in death by his wife Joyce Ann (Spaulding) Scott on October 1, 2011; his parents; grandson Scott Carver; brother Lloyd Scott; and nephew Brad Scott.
Friends may call on Friday, February 21, 2025, at McCordsville United Methodist Church from 11 am – 1 pm. A funeral service will take place at 1:00 pm, followed by burial services at Gravel Lawn Cemetery. Please visit his online guestbook at sealsfuneralhome.com
