Peggy Bolles, 74, of Pendleton, Indiana, passed away into the presence of God by the merits of Christ at her home on January 26, 2026.
She was born in Anderson, Indiana, on July 24, 1951, to James and Beryl (Crowe) Biddle.
Peggy was raised in Markleville and graduated from Madison Heights High School, where she was active in choir and drama—early expressions of the creativity and enthusiasm that would follow her throughout life. After graduation, she spent a memorable year as a foreign exchange student in Switzerland, an experience she treasured deeply. Peggy kept in touch with many of the friends she made during her time abroad, maintaining those special relationships for decades. She later attended Indiana University to study music, where she met the love of her life, Robert “Bob” Bolles. The two married in 1972.
Peggy and Bob spent several years in California before returning to Pendleton in 1989. Peggy was a devoted pastor’s wife and a cherished member of Providence Reformed Baptist Church in Fishers. She found joy in gardening, nurturing plants, and crocheting.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents James and Beryl Biddle.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Bob Bolles; her daughter, Elanor Bolles; her siblings, James (Connie) Biddle and Cheryl Engber; her nieces, Sara Engber and Kim Engber; and her nephew, James Biddle.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. at Seals Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 122 W. Staat Street, Fortville, with visitation from 10:00-11:00 A.M.
Memorial gifts may be made to Wheeler Mission (www.wheelermission.org).
