Raymond E Doty

Raymond E. Doty, 87, of Fortville, passed away on July 27, 2023, at home. He was born on August 2, 1935, in Fortville to Roy and Iva Mae (Thornton) Doty.

Ray served in the United States Marine Corps. He worked as an Industrial Electrician for Navistar International. He was a member of Outlook Christian Church, Fall Creek Valley Conservation Club, a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association, and a former member of the National Muzzle Loading Rifle Association.

Ray is survived by his wife Marcia Louise (Wright) Doty. He is also survived by his sons Brian (Lori Carroll) Doty and Craig (Sharon Adams) Doty; grandchildren Marcia Dawn Rolfingsmeyer, Kendra Doty, Kyle Doty, Elizabeth Doty, and Aaron Doty; brother Carl Doty; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother Jackie Doty; and his grandparents.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 pm on Tuesday, August 1, 2023, at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville. A funeral to celebrate Raymond’s life will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville.  Memorial Contributions may be made to Outlook Christian Church, 6531 N. 600 W., McCordsville, IN 46055.
