Richard L. Sanders Sr.

Richard L. Sanders, Sr., 85, of Pendleton, passed away Sunday, May 29, 2022, at Prairie Lakes Healthcare in Noblesville.  He was born April 1, 1937, in Indianapolis, Indiana to Harry and Eveline (Steele) Sanders.  

Richard was a graduate of Tech High School. He managed several grocery stores before being hired on the assembly line at Ford Motor Company where he retired from in 2000 after 30 years of service.  

Richard is survived by wife Margaret (Moore) Sanders, whom he married September 13, 1958; daughters Mitzi (Carey) Boyles of Lafayette and Patty (Forrest) Hutchinson of Greenfield; grandchildren Shane (Cortney) Wyatt, Tyler (Annie) Nelson, Nick (Rachel) Nelson; great-grandchildren Layla Wyatt, Emery Nelson and Everett Nelson. 

He was preceded in death by his son Richard L. Sanders, Jr, his parents
