On the evening of Sunday, April 6, 2025, Richard Eugene Stewart went to be with the Lord at a young age of 57.

Rich was born on May 3, 1967, in Alpina, Michigan. He was a Systems Administrator for thirty years. He married the love of his life, Brenda (Bahlau) Stewart, on May 22, 1999. Together, they had 2 children, Emily Anne and Josiah Eugene Stewart. 

Rich was a gentle soul and had a pure heart in everything he did. He loved the Lord and attended Athey Creek Church. He loved spending time with his family-- including attempting to make breads and sharing anything sci-fi with his daughter and building models and going to classic car shows to see all the sweet souped-up engines with his son. He enjoyed music, movies, doing puzzles, and, of course, video and computer games. Most of all, he loved all the family trips planned by his wife and the memories made on those trips.

He is predeceased in death by his grandparents and survived by his wife (Brenda Stewart), two children (Emily and Josiah Stewart), his parents (Paul [and Kaye] Stewart and Barbara Piner), his sister (Tammy Ross) and her four children (Jeremiah, Chloe, Jana, and Kyle). He had a special relationship with his cousins that felt more like sisters (Karen, Kathy, and Renee) and their families. 

Rich has chosen to be cremated so his ashes can be planted in a living urn with a tree that will allow him to "live on" as part of that tree. (www.livingurn.com) 

A celebration of life service is being planned and will be held at a date to be determined. 

His memories will live on in our hearts and never forgotten. He is already missed. We love you Rich! See you again in Heaven!
