Robbie Peters Obituary
Robbie Peters, 24, of Fortville, passed away on April 4, 2026. He was born in Dubuque, Iowa, on June 2, 2001, to Joshua and Melissa (Behnke) Peters.
Robbie graduated from Hamilton Southeastern High School in 2019 and later earned his Bachelor's degree from the University of Indianapolis in 2025. He was best known for his love of gaming and the time he spent online with friends. Robbie was the kind of gamer who lived for competition and laughs, often joking around and being a “Richard” provoking others under the username AcesAGamer. He spent countless hours playing favorites like GTA 5, Rocket League, and Rust, and many more that brought him a lot of joy and connection.
When he wasn’t gaming, Robbie’s other big passion was soccer. He played goalkeeper for the Indy Premier Soccer Club until he decided to focus on academics. He was also a huge fan of FC Bayern Munich and rarely missed a chance to talk soccer, watch matches, or debate teams with friends.
Robbie had a fondness for his motorcycle and nice cars. Even though he didn’t really know how to work on them, he loved driving them, showing them off, and just appreciating them. And in one of his best-known contradictions, even though he absolutely hated coffee, Robbie worked at Starbucks at Hamilton Town Center for 6 years, where his humor, personality, and honesty made him memorable to coworkers and customers alike.
Robbie is survived by his loving family, which includes his mother, Melissa Behnke (Andy Chadwell); his father, Joshua Peters (Odell Flowers); his twin brother, Jacob Peters; his step-brothers, Alex and Samuel Chadwell and Titus Teah; his maternal grandparents, Bob and Leann Behnke and Jamie and Jim Bruner; his paternal grandmother, Bonnie Peters; his grandmother, Sheila Chadwell; his great-grandmother, Loretta Behnke; his aunts and uncles, Amy Behnke, Michael and Jenny Chadwell, Tony and Christina Clayborn, and Steve Peters; a ton of cousins that Robbie loved to antagonize; and all the friends that looked up to him and loved him.
He was preceded in death by paternal grandfather, Bill Peters, his uncle, Jesse Gardner, as well as other loved great-grandparents.
A celebration of Robbie’s life will be on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. at Seals Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Celebrant Mick Gilliam officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00 P.M.-2:00 P.M. on Saturday.
