Rosemary (Robinson) Meek

Rosemary Meek, 73, of Fortville, passed away Thursday, October 21, 2021, in hospice care at Golden Living in Greenfield. She was born in Richmond, Indiana on January 10, 1948, to Melvin and Thelma K. (Weaver) Robinson. 

Rosemary grew up in Liberty, Indiana where she met her husband, Jim. They were married on May 16, 1970, and lived in Durbin, Indiana for 6 years then they moved to Fortville, Indiana where they have resided their whole lives.

Rosemary is survived by husband Donald James Meek; daughter: Mary K. (David) Harris of Decatur, GA and son Abraham Meek of Fortville; grandchildren Kathleen Rose Harris and Owen Harris; brother: Dean Robinson of Liberty, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers John and Richard Robinson.

Rosemary loved cooking, baking, cross-stitching, puzzling, and reading.  She and Jim also loved to go camping. They camped all over Indiana and took camping trips out west as a part of the Indiana Camp Club and the Twilighters Camp Club.  They also liked traveling and enjoyed a trip to Nashville to see the Grand Opry House. Rosemary went on many trips with 6 very special women in her life. Rosemary and Jim recently spent 4 winters in Sun City Center, Florida.

A funeral to celebrate Rosemary’s life will be held on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at 1:00 pm at the Fortville Christian Church with Rob Rigsbee officiating.  Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 11:00 am until the time of service.  A caring cremation will follow the funeral service.  Online condolences may be shared at www.sealsfuneralhome.com.
