Sadie Mae Geary, 76, of Fortville, Indiana, passed away Monday, February 6, 2023 in

Indianapolis. She was born October 3, 1946 in Horse Branch, KY to Preston and

Laurel (Wells) Geary. Sadie retired as an assembly worker at the General Motors

Truck and Body plant in Indianapolis. She was a member of the UAW Local 23 and

had a giving, charitable heart.  Sadie never met a stranger and was always found helping anyone whom may be in need.

 

Sadie is survived by sisters Dortha Bratcher, Pat (Rob) Matthes, Shirley Woolen, & Betty (James ) Roy. She is also survived by brothers Glendon (Suzy) Geary and Preston Geary.

Honorary sister Kathy (Tony) Goff of Fortville, honorary nephew James (Erica) Oller

of Harrogate, TN, bonus granddaughter Emily Noe and her daughters Sabrina

Stultz and Katherine Noe, Godson Jeremiah Goff and his daughter Kaylee,

additional bonus grandchildren: Elizabeth, Tristen, Tyler, Clara, Lillian, Lucas and

Landrum Oller as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her sisters: Jo Nell Kelly , Betty Ward, Marlene Johnson, Violet Burks, and brothers Lesel Geary and Estelle Geary. 

 

Friends may call on from 4 to 6 pm on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at Seals

Funeral Home, Fortville, IN. A funeral to celebrate Sadie’s life will be held at 1:00 pm

(CST) on Monday, February 13, 2023, at Dermitt Funeral Home 306 W Main St,

Leitchfield, KY 42754. Friends may call on at Dermitt Funeral Home on Monday,

February 13, 2023 from 10:00 am (CST) until the time of service. Burial will take
