Shirley M. (Avery) Boggess

Shirley M. Boggess, 86, of Oaklandon, passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at her home.  She was born August 2, 1936, in Michigantown, Indiana to William and Lula (Keller) Avery.  Shirley was a graduate of Michigantown High School and a homemaker.  She volunteered at Westminster Village North Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and was a member of Outlook Christian Church in McCordsville.

Shirley is survived by children: Jerry J. Boggess of Oaklandon, Laura (Walter) Moore of Lebanon, IN and James (Julie) Boggess of Chicago, IL; 7 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and sister Carolyn Moses. She was preceded in death by husband, parents and sibling Norma Sheets.

Friends may call on Saturday, March 18th from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville.  A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 12:00 pm at the funeral home.  Burial will follow at Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville.
