Steven Patrick Duffer, 45, of Ingalls passed away on January 24, 2024, at his home. He was born on November 20, 1978, in Indianapolis to Homer Duffer and Patricia High. Steven served in the United States Marine Corps and worked as a Veterans Service Officer for Veteran’s Affairs. He enjoyed playing and watching football especially his team, the Tennessee Titans. More than anything Steven loved spending time with his wife and kids. He loved his family. Steven will be remembered for his wicked sense of humor and for also being a big grump. He was a proud Marine and was always there for his brothers and sisters in uniform.
Steven is survived by his wife Alina (Fernandez) Duffer whom he married on October 15, 1999. He is also survived by his children Jacob Duffer, Virgil Alyssa Duffer, and Samuel Duffer; his mother Patricia High(Mike); sister Cyndi Duffer(Jason); brother Michael Duffer(Nancy); his Aunts Mary Holstein and Beth Arieon and Uncle Robert Tackett; and many extended family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his father Homer Duffer; brother Anthony Wayne Duffer; grandparents James and Ann McCloud and Autry McCoy Tackett and Homer and Minnie Duffer; and his in laws Jose Fernandez and Eneida Castilla.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 pm on Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at Seals Funeral Home 122 W. Staat Street Fortville, IN 46040. A brief service with military honors will follow the visitation. In keeping with Steven’s wishes a cremation will follow.
