Steven L Smith

Steven L. Smith, 76, of Indianapolis, passed away April 29, 2021 at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis.  He was born August 10, 1944 in Indianapolis to B.L. and Virginia (Collier) Smith.  Steve graduated from Hancock Central High School in 1962. He enjoyed riding Harley-Davidson motorcycles, high school basketball, golfing and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. Steve loved laughing, joking and was never in a bad mood, but most importantly he loved spending time with his grandkids.

Steve retired in 2007 from the UA Plumbers, Steamfitters and HVACR Union Local 440. He was also a member of the U.S. Army Reserves.

Steve is survived by wife Olivia DeAnn (Lewark) Smith, whom he married February 5, 1965, sons: Tyler (Amiko) Smith and Jason Smith and 3 grandchildren Kamryn, Maximus and Alexander Smith.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 from 4 to 7 pm at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville.  A funeral service to celebrate Steve’s life will be held on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at 11:00 am at the funeral home.  Burial will follow at Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville.
