Susan Kay (Simmons) Thomas

Susan Kay Thomas, 77, of McCordsville, passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2022, surrounded by her family.  She was born December 4, 1944, in Toledo, Ohio to John Wesley and Mildred (Reinwald) Simmons.  Susie graduated from Charlottesville High School and University of Indianapolis with a Bachelor of Arts in computer sciences.

Susie was a member of the McCordsville United Methodist Church where she served as secretary.  She retired from the Fortville branch of the Greenfield Banking Company after 43 years of service. 

Susie is survived by her husband Lowell E. Thomas and sister Roxanna Simmons.  She was preceded in death by her parents. 

A celebration of Susie’s life will begin at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at the McCordsville United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall.  A funeral to honor Susie will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at the McCordsville United Methodist Church.  Burial will follow the service at Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville.  The family requests that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the McCordsville United Methodist Church Stained Glass Fund P.O. Box 188 McCordsville, IN 46055. Service arrangements entrusted to Seals Funeral Home, Fortville.
