Suzanne S. Squibb, 82, of Fortville, passed away peacefully at home on May 13, 2021 surrounded by her family after a brief battle with cancer. She was born June 14, 1938 in South Bend, IN to John and Amelia (Emery) Isza. Suzanne was an avid garage and estate sale attendee and had an antique booth at Shadeland Mall for over 40 years. The booth fueled her passion for antiques especially jewelry. She made many friends over the years while running the antique booth. Above all else, she enjoyed hosting and attending family gatherings. She was the rock of her family and adored by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Suzanne will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by children: Tami (Steve) Jones of St. Petersburg, FL, Donna Back of Fortville, Mark (Gayle) Turk of South Bend and Cliff (Monica) Owens of McCordsville; grandchildren: Nicole (Jared) Browning, Phillip (Beth) Back, Rhianna (Travis) Tortorige, Haley Turk, Riley (Morgan LaScala) Turk, Christopher Owens and Holly (Jacob) Thornton; great-grandchildren: Harper and Hunter Browning, Logan Back, Olivia and Amelia Tortorige, Kaylin Turk, Lillian Suzanne and Luke Thornton; brother John Emery of Michigan. She was preceded in death by her husband Vaughn Squibb in 1995 and her parents.
A funeral to celebrate Suzanne’s life will be held on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at 1:00 pm at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, May 20th from 11:00 am until the time of service. Burial will take place at Washington Park East Cemetery, Indianapolis.
