Tommie J. Wise

Tommie J. Wise, 78, of Lewisville, passed away Thursday, October 5, 2023, at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital. He was born on October 20, 1944, in Upper Tygart, KY.  

 Tommie had been a mechanic at G.W. Pierce in Spiceland and had worked at General Steel Fabricating in Indianapolis.  In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, whittling, gardening and especially spending time with his grandchildren.

Tommie is survived by children Jody A (Missy) Wise, Starlet R. (Kelly) Whitton, and Scott J. Wise; 5 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; siblings: Earl (Kim) Wise, Margaret Cooper, Beverly Jett, Cindy (Albert) Robinson of Ingalls, Cheryl (Doug) Kellam of Markleville, Tammy (Roger) Holden of Ingalls and Terry (Randy) Rather of Greenfield, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Debbie B. Wise in 2022, father Junior Wise, mother Mabel (Jesse) Arundale, brothers Ronnie Wise and Billy Ray Wise.

A funeral to celebrate Tommie’s life will be held on Tuesday October 10, 2023, at 2:00 pm at Seals Funeral Home, 122 West Staat Street, Fortville, Indiana. Friends may call on Tuesday from 12:00 pm until the time of service.  Burial will take place at Menden Cemetery, Pendleton, IN.
