Violet M. (Reed) Mock

Violet Mock, 96, passed away August 6, 2020 in Indianapolis.  She was the widow of Samuel C. Mock to whom she was married for 71 years.  Violet was born April 21, 1924 in Rowan County, KY to Luke & Adeline Reed.  She was a graduate of Markleville High School, a retiree of Guide Lamp, a member of Cyntheanne Christian Church, a Past Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, and a member of the White Shrine.

Violet is survived by a son Samuel C. (Gen) Mock, Jr., a daughter Sherry (Tom) Reblitz, grandchildren Samuel C. Mock III, Daniel (Ida) Mock, Sara Heavyrunner, Adria Long, Kyle (Dana) Reblitz, 10 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild, her twin sister Viola Camplin, and many beloved nieces and nephews.  Violet was preceded in death by her husband, Violet was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Roy Reed, Orville Reed, Ivan Reed, and John Reed, sister Gladys Brown and daughter-in-law Vicky Mock.

A memorial service to celebrate Violet’s life will be held at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville on Saturday, August 15, 2020 at 2:00 pm. Friends may call from 12:00 noon until the time of service.
