Virginia Lee (Brewer) Humerickhouse

Virginia Lee "Jenny" Humerickhouse, 84, of Fortville, passed away on April 6, 2025. She was born on April 18, 1940, in Indianapolis to Roger and Aline (Hopper) Brewer.

Jenny attended Fortville High School. She married Carlton “Dallas” Humerickhouse on August 31, 1956. Jenny was a meticulous housekeeper who enjoyed traveling, planting flowers, and reading. She was a homemaker while raising her children but enjoyed working at Carol’s Hallmark in Fortville and Art to Remember part time. Her greatest joy was time spent with her grandchildren.

Jenny is survived by her son Scott (Jenny) Humerickhouse; grandchildren Katie (Aaron) Bryan, Joshua Humerickhouse, Matthew (Ashley) Humerickhouse, and Lauren Humerickhouse; and her brothers Don (Carol) Brewer and Gary (Jackie) Brewer. She is preceded in death by her husband of 66 years Carlton “Dallas” Humerickhouse, her son Steven Humerickhouse, and her sister, Clara Belle Uberta.

A Funeral Service will take place on Friday, April 11, 2025, at 1:30 pm at Seals Funeral Home, 122 W. Staat Street, Fortville, IN 46040. Friends may call on Friday at the funeral home from 11:30 am until the time of the service. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Gravel Lawn Cemetery immediately following the service.
