Wanda M. Pennington, 84, of McCordsville, passed away Sunday, August 16, 2020 at IU Health West Hospital in Avon. She was born March 20, 1936 in Bowling Green, KY to Homer and Novis (Jones) Young. Wanda had been a homemaker and seamstress at Fashion Rite Fabrics.
Wanda is survived by grandchildren: Carrie A. (Anthony) Rader of Avon, Bethany Waymire and Don (Desiree) Waymire of Fortville; great-grandchildren: Madison, Kailyn and Kameron; siblings: David (Onita) Young of Trumann, Arkansas, Darel (Emma) Young and Wilma Blakenship of Bowling Green, KY as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband A.W. Pennington, son Mark Pennington and her parents.
A funeral to celebrate Wanda’s life will be held on Friday, August 21, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville. Friends may call on at the funeral home on Friday from 12:00 pm until the time of service. Burial will take place at Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville. As a reminder, masks are required in public indoor spaces and please practice social distancing.
