William E. “Bill” Moyer, 79, of Fortville, passed away on January 12, 2025, in Greenfield. He was born on May 29, 1945, in Indianapolis to Ralph and Marjorie (Wise) Moyer.
Bill was a 1963 graduate of Vernon Township High School. He was a retired auto body repairman and from the Air Force Reserves. He was a member of the Fortville F&AM Lodge #207 and the Fortville American Legion Post #391. In his spare time, he enjoyed auto racing, NASCAR and fixing broken race cars.
Bill is survived by his wife Pamela J. (Longerbone) Moyer, whom he married on April 26, 1968; daughter, Robyn Weaver; grandchildren, Kailey (Patrick Drews) Weaver, Kiernan Weaver, and Kelton Weaver; sister, Jean (Bill) Walker; brother-in-law Danny Longerbone and several nieces, nephews and extended family. He was preceded in death by an infant son, David Lee Moyer, his parents Ralph and Marjorie Moyer, mother-in-law Reba Weir and David Weir, father-in-law Carl Longerbone and great nephew Tristan Carson.
Friends may call on Thursday, January 16, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Seals Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Fortville. Masonic services will begin at 7:00 pm. A celebration of Bill’s Life will be held on Friday January 17, 2025, at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Gravel Lawn Cemetery.
