William E. White

William E. White, 59, of Fortville, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2024, in Fishers. He was born November 30, 1964, in Muncie, Indiana to Leonard C. and Elizabeth A. (Vanek) White.

Bill was a U.S. Navy veteran and U.S. Army veteran and received his bachelor’s degree from Ball State University. He worked at LabCorp as a lab technician and had formerly been a professor at IUPUI. Bill was of the Roman Catholic Faith. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, launching model rockets that he built, building RC planes. He enjoyed cheesy horror movies and had recently started a carnivorous garden with Venus’s flytraps. Bill was an avid reader and didn’t know a stranger.

Bill is survived by daughter Allison (David) Russell of Fortville, brothers: John (Cindy) White, Jerry (Connie) White and Larry (Jamie) White, sisters: Lorna (Ed) Brett and Kathy (Shawn) Mattraw as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Judy, parents and brother Jim White.

A prayer service to celebrate Bill’s life will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, July 15, 2024, at Seals Funeral Home, Fortville. Friends may call on Monday from 12:00 pm until the time of service.  Burial with military honors will take place at Gravel Lawn Cemetery, Fortville.
